Apex Power & Automation Ltd. is hiring an experienced Journeyman Electrician for commercial and industrial electrical projects in Elkford, BC and the Elk Valley.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician with commercial and industrial electrical experience to join our project team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of electrical, automation, and building control systems while taking an active role in project installation, commissioning, and site coordination.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and project team and may take on site foreman and field coordination responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to expand their technical skills, leadership experience, and career with a growing electrical and automation company.

• Install, wire, terminate, and commission commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Install and commission VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, security systems, lighting, and energy management control systems
• Install and terminate conduit, wire, cable, electrical equipment, panels, sensors, controls, and related devices
• Fabricate and install electrical and control panels
• Install interlocking wiring and complete wiring checkout and testing
• Assist with system startup, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Participate in project planning and provide input on electrical system design, installation, and coordination
• Assist with material ordering and coordinate on-site activities with the Project Manager and other trades
• Maintain current knowledge of the BC Electrical Code and ensure work is completed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
• Participate in project handover and final site walkthroughs
• Prepare accurate as-built markup drawings for the design engineer
• Maintain a professional, safety-focused, and organized work environment
• Provide leadership and support to other electricians and site personnel as required

• Journeyman Electrician certification
• Minimum 2 years of Journeyman Electrician experience
• Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
• Experience with electrical controls, automation, HVAC, VFDs, or building management systems is an asset
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and applicable electrical codes
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and plans
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• English language proficiency

Apex Power & Automation Ltd. is hiring experienced 2nd and 3rd Year Electrical Apprentices for full-time positions in Elkford, BC.

Are you a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice who takes pride in your work and wants to continue developing your skills in the commercial and industrial electrical trades?

We are looking for apprentices who are punctual, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and committed to high standards of workmanship. The ideal candidate is courteous, mature, dependable, and works well as part of a professional team.

Apex Power & Automation Ltd. is seeking 2nd and 3rd Year Electrical Apprentices to work alongside experienced electricians on a variety of commercial and industrial electrical projects.

You will work as part of a team to install, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, equipment, and related systems while continuing to develop your skills and knowledge in the electrical trade.

Previous commercial or industrial electrical experience is required for these positions.

• Assist with the installation of commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Install and terminate electrical wiring, conduit, fixtures, equipment, panels, and control devices
• Assist with electrical testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and commissioning
• Read and work from electrical drawings, plans, and schematics
• Apply the skills and knowledge gained through technical training and field experience
• Learn and apply new electrical installation techniques and industry best practices
• Follow all applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and company procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work collaboratively with Journeyman Electricians, apprentices, project managers, and other trades
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other project personnel
• Demonstrate attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency when required

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• 2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice status
• Previous hands-on electrical experience
• Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
• Dependability and punctuality
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to work independently when required while contributing effectively to a team
• Willingness to learn and develop new electrical skills
• Valid Driver's License
